 "Apex Predators Head Towards Extinction"

30" X 36"

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

I made this painting from the inspiration of "Lion Aid" asking me if I could help them raise money for the awareness event they are having in the United Kingdom to show the 90%decline of the Lion in the last 50yrs. Being a Marine Animal Artist I wanted to combine a land predator with an ocean predator. The shark and the lion both have decreased by 90% in the last 50 years which I felt made a great comparison of a HUGE DECLINE AND LOSS TO THE PLANET!

 "SACRILEGE"

36" X 30"

ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

To me an animal is as sacred as a the pope to others. To me the pope does nothing for my life and the balance of this planet's survival. To put a whale on the symbol of a cross is to show how I show the world who follow such a symbol that the animal, who was alive, should be held up in high regards. The cross is made with the flags of the commercial whaling nations being Japan, Greenland, Iceland, and Norway. There are three blood drips running down over the Japanese flag showing a decade for each drip that blood was shed. The background shows an infinite number of sacrificed whales for the cost of corporate greed.
