"The Rising Sun Exposes The Guilt"

This painting has been named "The Rising Sun Exposes The Guilt". It is 48" X 40" and has been a continuation of my inner energy to do my part to put awareness out to the world showing the reality of life. It is acrylic on canvas.

Here are some close up pictures since this painting is so large:

"Horrifically Beautiful" is the key words to these awareness paintings. This painting shows the Horror that happens approximately 6 months of the year to many species of dolphins and some small whales.

The guilt here is the torture that occurs to every dolphin that is lured into this bay and then netted within so they cannot escape. I placed the form of a woman to be the water goddess of the Bay itself. To show the emotion of the water and colour through her hair which would normally be blue waves. In this case her hair is blood red and is very wild which shows the battle the dolphins put up while being brutally killed. The water goddess sheds a tear of blood beside a dolphin shedding a blood tear also and is asking WHY? Why is this happening?

If we look into the boat we can see plenty of dead dolphins that have been ripped out of the water by hooks and spears. The long rod that is laying across the boat is the noise weapon. Noise weapon means that this rod is used to make a wall of noise to force the dolphins into the bay. The hunters surround the dolphins out in the ocean and use hammers to pound on these rods and a wall of vibration scares the dolphins and force them to go to the opening, and this opening is the way to the bay itself.

I have shown the net floating in the hair and it shows how it covers the mouth of the bay. So within this wall of net the torture begins. When this slaughter occurrs the bay actually becomes blood red and the hunters try and hide this by using huge blue tarps.

The sunrise is portrayed as the Japanese Flag, the Rising Sun.  This sadness of slaughtering dolphins should stop. Prior to slaughtering them marine owners come and choose young females and they are set aside while the rest of them get killed and the ones that were picked end up being delivered to be trained to make money from tourist within the buyers country.

Over-all this painting is to Help people know what is presently going on in our world and if it wasn't for people who witness this sadness we couldn't help. Please tell people and support people who help this cause and give knowledge to your fellow neighbours and children.
